We are a filament-winding fiberglass manufacturer. We purchased a large diameter tank winder, and these were a part of the deal -- even though we knew we would never use them. When we got them, they were beautiful polished mandrels. Since last summer, due to lack of storage, I have had them outside covered with a tarp. As you can see, even with the tarp, they still have developed some rust. Since we have lots of spare mandrels already, and know that we'll never use these, I'm selling them while they are still usable to someone --- and before they are ruined all together. What a steal someone is going to get! These mandrels cost $51,949.00 when they were new (I still have the original invoice), not including freight. These mandrels are for winding fiberglass pipe, and they have a slight taper to one end for easy pulling of the finished part. Each end of the mandrel has a hex head drive, with a bolt-able mounting plate. (If this doesn't work for your application, a fabricator can change them).
